Meet the florist behind Botanique.
My Journey
I came to floristry by way of my own wedding, when I decided to create the floral arrangements myself. Somewhere amongst the buckets of blooms, clipped stems and beautiful chaos, I fell completely in love with it.
I later studied floral arranging in France, refining the instinct for colour and composition that first drew me to flowers. Botanique grew from there — from the simple joy of making something beautiful for one important day, and wanting to do the same for others.
How I Work
Wedding flowers require a plan — and the willingness to abandon it. For a late-September elopement in Glencoe, I prepared for cold and rain and instead found myself finishing an arrangement on the morning of the ceremony with the Scottish sun blazing in my face, sunglasses on and still in my pyjama top.
That is rather how we approach every wedding. We plan meticulously, prepare for the unexpected, and adapt when the day has other ideas. Sometimes that means building shelters against the rain; sometimes it means carrying flowers across streams; and sometimes it means arranging flowers in your pyjamas under an improbably sunny Highland sky.
But our brides never need to worry about what happens behind the scenes because, when our brides arrive to their weddings, every petal will be perfectly in place.
